It all started in James' early adulthood when he began a tradition of carefully selecting Christmas cards and gracing them with poems of his own creation before sending them to loved ones. Over the decades, the urge to make a collection of these poems and others that fit their themes grew and grew. Then in 2011, his daughter, now a young adult herself, graduated from art school and an idea was born. Working together, James P. Bonamy and J. R. Field lovingly crafted what became Branches Laden with Wind-Abandoned Snow.
